During a routine inspection
People who used the service confirmed their involvement in planning their care and support. One person said, 'The managers are in touch with us quite often. They either call or drop in to make sure everything is going along OK'.
The two people and the relatives that we spoke with told us that they were very happy with the care that had been provided. One relative told us, 'Things are going along quite nicely. They do all that they possibly can to help us. We feel very well supported'.
We noted that guidance regarding safeguarding people from abuse was available to staff and that they had received relevant training very recently. The carer we spoke with told us, 'My relative feels safe with this company. I have no concerns whatever. Home Instead is a very professional company'.
We found that there were effective recruitment procedures in place and that care givers were provided with appropriate training and experience for the role.
We noted that the service had comprehensive systems in place to monitor and assess the standard of care being provided to people and that it responded promptly and appropriately to feedback.
