Safe
The provider had made improvements since their last inspection. The registered manager described in detail the changes they had made to the service to drive improvements, however, the changes needed time to become fully embedded. People felt safe and were protected from avoidable harm. Staff were recruited safely and received training appropriate to their role. Risks to people were robustly assessed.

Learning culture
The provider had processes in place to ensure the regular monitoring of staff occurred. The registered manager spoke honestly about the improvements and changes they had made to the service following their previous inspection.
The provider had made improvements since the last inspection. They were able to describe the changes they had made to the service. This improved outcomes for people. Relatives described the registered manager as open and honest.
Staff described the registered manager as open, and keen to resolve any issues that may arise. Staff told us they received regular supervisions and spot checks which provided them with the opportunity to reflect on their practice and improve if required.

Safe and effective staffing
The registered manager had made improvements to the recruitment of staff. This meant all staff had now been through robust background checks. The registered manager was able to discuss the recruitment process for new staff members, and described in detail how their knowledge of safe recruitment practice has improved since the last inspection.
The registered manager provided records to demonstrate staff had received relevant training and competency checks. Staff confirmed they had received this training and felt confident to deliver care to people.
People received care from staff who were trained, competent and recruited safely. Records showed all care call had been delivered and no visits had been missed.
Infection prevention and control
We did not look at Infection prevention and control during this assessment. The score for this quality statement is based on the previous rating for Safe.
Medicines optimisation
Staff records demonstrated they had completed medicine training, and the registered manager had undertaken additional medicine training.
At the time of the assessment, no-one required support with medicines.
The registered manager advised that processes and documentation were in place, should they begin to support people with medicines.
