Equity in experiences and outcomes
Health care plans showed a range of professionals and family who supported with care and treatment options. They showed where people have been consulted in their care and treatment and if they are unable to be consulted. Mental Capacity Act assessment records showed involvement with professionals and relatives in decision making.
Relatives told us communication from the home was good and they were always kept up to date with any changes to people's health and well-being.
Staff told us that people living at the home were able to receive any care and treatment they needed. One staff member told us “People can have the appointments they need. We go with them or family, or sometimes people come here.” The registered manager told us that they provided 'tools' to staff to support people, they recently provided easy to read information to staff on Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) to help staff understand the information.
