Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must undertake at Passionate About Care - Suite 5, 28 The Spain, Petersfield, GU32 3LA:
a) A monthly audit of all service users’ current needs. The audit must identify whether a risk assessment and/or care plan is needed for the service users need and preference. The audit must identify that the care plan and/or risk assessment for the service user accurately reflects the needs and preferences of service users, ensuring service users and/or their representative (if the service user lacks capacity) have been consulted with.
b) A monthly audit of all service users medicine records, including their care plans, risk assessment, Medicine Administration Records and PRN protocols. The audit must identify any recording errors, administration errors and care plan/risk assessment/PRN protocol updates.
c) A monthly audit of service users’ accidents and incidents. The audit must identify the service user, the date of incident and the type of accident or incident. The audit must identify any theme or trends.
d) A monthly audit of staff training. The audit must identify the training gaps for all staff and must identify the action taken to ensure all staff are competent in their role.
e) A monthly audit of recruitment and staff files. The audit must identify all requirements under Schedule 3 of the Health and Social Care Act are being followed.
f) A monthly audit of staff deployment. The audit must identify that service user’s receive care calls in line with their needs and agreed care package.
g) A monthly audit of service users’ ability to consent to care and treatment. The audit must identify how the Mental Capacity Act 2005 is adhered to where a service user lacks mental capacity to make an informed decision or give consent.
Following completion of the above monthly audits, the Registered Provider must produce a combined action plan stating each individual audit area, the date of the audit, the actions to be taken, the person responsible for the actions, how and when this will be monitored to ensure it has been completed. This report must be sent to the Care Quality Commission on the first Monday of each month following these conditions coming into effect.
