During a routine inspection
People were provided with all of the options for treatment and were fully involved in the decision making and planning of their treatment at all stages. Appropriate consent was provided by people at the beginning of treatment and further consent provided if the treatment plans changed.
Privacy and dignity was upheld by offering a discreet environment for treatment and private areas to discuss sensitive and confidential matters.
Full patient records were kept on the secure computerised system which was backed up daily to ensure data is not lost.
A full safeguarding policy was on display in the practice and all staff were fully trained.
Quality of the service was monitored through ongoing paper and computerised feedback forms and an effective complaints policy and procedure was in place. Comments from the recent patient surveys stated that people were happy with the practice because of "the friendly staff", "because it is local", and because "they are great dentists".
