During an inspection in response to concerns
On the inspection we found that in the areas we looked at and on the information we could assess the hospital was managing their infection control and cleaning practices appropriately. We saw that staffing levels were under pressure but that staff were working well to support people. We found that work was being undertaken to improve the discharge and admission arrangements for patients to improve their experience and safety. This included working with other providers on joint developments and practices. We found that people were asked for their consent before treatment was given.
People we spoke with who were receiving outpatient care or surgical treatment were pleased with the services they received. One patient said 'They have been wonderful. The reception staff were so helpful on the telephone when we phoned about a disabled parking space.' The same patient said 'We have been so lucky to come somewhere so convenient.' Another patient said 'You can't beat it here.'
