During a routine inspection
We saw that people were well cared for. People had opportunities to make choices and to take part in activities they enjoyed. While we were at the service we saw staff communicated with people effectively and involved them in making decisions about their care. We saw that families and people themselves had been involved in writing and updating care plans and information about people's needs. We saw from records that people's physical health care needs were met by staff in a way that was safe and effective.
We saw information was available about the service. People who used the service and their families were encouraged to be involved in making suggestions for improvements. Where people lacked the capacity to make decisions for themselves we saw that their rights were protected and an appropriate process was in place to make decisions in people's best interests.
We saw there were enough staff to support people. Records were well maintained and kept securely.
