During a routine inspection
People told us that they were most satisfied with the care and support that they had received during their stay. One person explained, 'I couldn't praise them more.' Another person told us, 'the staff are exceptional.'
We were told that people were treated with respect and their dignity was maintained at all times. One person told us, 'the nurses are really good, they treat me very, very well.' Another person explained, they let me do as much as I can for myself, then they do the rest.'
People told us that they knew what to do if they weren't happy about something. One person told us, 'I complained to the ward sister this morning and she put everything right.' Another person explained, 'I would speak to the nurses, nothing is too much trouble.'
We were told that people were involved in deciding what care and support they received and staff explained what was happening throughout their stay. One person told us, 'they discussed everything with me and told me what was going on.'
We observed staff going about their work in a relaxed manner and witnessed care and support being provided in a friendly and cheerful way.
