Our view of the service
We carried out this on-site announced assessment from 29 July to 14 August 2024. We conducted this assessment in response to an earlier breach in regulations found during an inspection on 3 and 4 May 2023. We assessed nine quality statements across the safe, responsive, and well-led key questions. We found the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) had met all the regulations that they had breached at the previous inspection. The SARC had systems to identify, manage and mitigate risks. There were effective systems to maintain oversight of services provided. Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance. There were clear working arrangements across the service and a clear understanding of staff’s roles and responsibilities. Infection control procedures followed published guidance. At the time of our assessment, patients could access care, support and treatment when required.
