During a routine inspection
Care plans gave details of each patient's individual needs, how the initial assessment had taken place and what the current treatment plan contained. These had been reviewed on a regular basis with input from the patient and other health and social care professionals. One patient told us, "They (staff) involve us all the time in our care plans but I can make the final decision."
There were sufficient supplies of equipment and this was clean and stored safely. Staff knew how to maintain high standards to prevent any risk of infection. The provider had been asked to ensure they were aware when all equipment required a yearly service review but all equipment currently in use had been passed fit for use.
Patients told us their current needs were being met but staff were busy and at certain times of the day staff were more difficult to get hold of. One patient said, "They don't rush about, but look very busy, always."
