During a routine inspection
People that use the service also commented on the quality of the food which was described as 'very good' and 'there is plenty of choice'.
People said that they liked the unit environment, and that they felt safe and comfortable. However the unit's facilities do not meet NHS guidance standards for mental health services to allow men and women to have separate facilities. But people that use the service still felt that their privacy and dignity was respected. People that use the service and their relatives felt that they were kept well informed about the care and treatment being provided for them and that they were asked for their agreement to this care.
Peoples care planning and records were kept safe, gave complete information about each person as an individual, and were kept separate from other peoples' plans and records.
