During a routine inspection
Before people received any care or treatment they were asked for their consent and the provider acted in accordance with their wishes. We saw consent forms were signed before any treatment took place.
Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare. One person said;" I get the red carpet treatment at each session." Another said;" I have been coming here for years, so much more information is available now."
We saw effective infection prevention and control procedures were in place to reduce the risk of infections. People we spoke with said the centre was spotlessly clean.
People were cared for by suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff. One person said;" The staff are great, nothing is too much trouble. " Another said;" Staff are very efficient." One staff member said;" Training is second to none."
Staff we spoke with said;" It is very humbling to work here, people that come give up their time, come here for years and voluntarily donate their blood to help others."
We saw systems were in place to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received.
