Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

1. The Registered Provider must, within 14 days of this condition taking effect, implement an effective audit and monitoring system to include monthly audits in relation to (but not limited to) the following areas:

a. Service users’ risk assessments and care plans, to ensure staff have clear guidance on how to mitigate risks associated with, but not limited to, service users’ falls, physical and mental health conditions, and mobility needs;
b. Monitoring of accidents and incidents, to ensure these are reviewed, thoroughly investigated and prompt action taken to keep service users safe;
c. Staff recruitment, to ensure safe and robust recruitment procedures are consistently followed, including relevant pre-employment checks;
d. Staff training, to ensure all staff have the training they need to meet service users’ individual needs.

2. Within 28 days of this condition taking effect and then on the first Monday of every month thereafter, the Registered Provider must send to the Care Quality Commission a report outlining the outcomes of these monthly audits. This report must summarise audit findings, the improvement actions to be taken, who is responsible for these and timescales for completion.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must ensure that the regulated activity personal care is managed by an individual who is registered as a manager in respect of that activity at or from all locations.
