Our view of the service
Mountfield House Care Home is a residential care home providing accommodation for people who require personal care. The service provides support to people with sensory impairments, physical disabilities, mental health and older people some of who live with dementia. We carried out an assessment beginning 15 February 2024 with a site visit taking place on 28 February 2024. The last rating for the service was requires improvement (published 22 September 2022), at this inspection we found improvements had been made to risk management and some improvements to governance. However, improvements were needed in the oversight of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) applications. People were safe living at the service. There were enough staff to meet people's needs safely. Staff understood how to minimise risks to peoples safety and raise concerns if things were wrong and where needed people were referred to other agencies.
