Our view of the service

Foxholes Care Home is a purpose-built residential care home providing personal and nursing care to 62 people at the time of the inspection. The service can support up to 110 people. The last inspection of this service was rated as Good (Published 20 September 2019). The service had systems in place to help ensure people received a good standard of care and the environment was managed safely. Where some areas needed further development, actions were implemented to make the changes. The team worked with external professionals to improve and add to the service. The management team were present in the home providing support and guidance. Staff received training and support. There were weekly training updates. People, relatives and staff had opportunities for meetings and sharing their views. We were told the management ream were responsive and helpful. Newsletters provided people with regular updates. There were enough staff to meet people’s needs. Staff were positive about the service they provided, the management team and liked working there.

People's experience of this service

People were happy living at the service and told us staff supported them well. They told us staff and management were kind and helpful. People also said they felt safe. People received their medicines when prescribed. Staff knew people well and care plans included all relevant information to ensure care was safe and person centred. There was regular support from health and social care professionals.
