Governance, management and sustainability
Staff had mixed views about the management of the home. Some felt well supported and listened to, whilst others didn’t. Some staff felt the registered manager wasn’t visible enough and that communication could improve. The registered manager was aware of this and was working with the provider to address cultural issues, staff understanding of processes, and ensure staff felt valued and supported.
A range of audits were completed to monitor the quality of the service. Areas for improvement had been identified. However, some actions had target dates which had not been met, with no updates on progress. It had been identified that some audits needed to be completed more regularly and quality checks of supervisions needed to be completed. A monthly senior brief had been introduced which detailed the areas for improvement and the action that was needed.
