Our view of the service
Stennack Homecare Limited provides domiciliary care to approximatly 50 people living in their own homes. The service supports people living in coastal communities North of Redruth, Cornwall. We carried out our unannounced on-site assessments on 14 and 20 February 2024, off site assessment activity started on 7 February and ended on 21 February 2024. We looked at 6 quality statements; Safeguarding; Involving people to manage risks; Safe and effective staffing; Independence, choice and control; Equity in experiences and outcomes; and Governance, management and sustainability. At our last inspection the service was rated good. At this assessment the service remains good.
People's experience of this service
People and their relatives spoke positively of the care provided by Stennack Homecare Limited. Their comments included, "The carers are very friendly, very polite and very empathetic”, “I feel quite safe, yes I am safe" and "I think it's managed very well considering, [my relative] is getting very good care. I hope they come through the inspection with flying colours." No planned care visits had been missed and the service had enough staff to provide all planned visits. People were happy that their staff normally arrived on time and provided the assistance needed. Staff sought consent before providing assistance and ensured privacy and dignity was respected.
