Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

On the first day of every month following the condition coming into effect the Registered Provider must send a report to the Care Quality Commission detailing what audits and actions have been carried out over the previous month within the service. This is to specifically include medicine management and recording, behaviour plans and the review of these, reviews and outcomes of incidents and accidents, infection prevention control management, risk assessments for environmental factors and those risks relating directly to individuals and associated monitoring documentation of service user’s specific needs including, skin monitoring and continence assessment and support. The report must detail who will be responsible for implementing actions going forward and detailing timescales for implementation. The Registered Provider must include within this the governance plans for sustaining the required and identified improvements at Ashgables House, Oak Lodge Close, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN15 1NG.

Within 30 days of this condition coming into effect, the registered provider must complete a full audit of Ashgables House. The audit must include the following areas:
a) Assessing, mitigating and managing risks associated with service users’ care and treatment needs, in particular behaviours that can challenge, skin care and ongoing monitoring, continence assessments and monitoring, infection control and prevention, the monitoring and management of medicines and monitoring and responding to accidents and incidents and subsequent internal actions taken.
b) Review of how Ashgables House meets and/or intends to change practice in order to meet the needs of service users with a learning disability and/or Autism taking into account current guidance and best practice such as Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture.

The registered person must not admit any service user to Ashgables House, Oak Lodge Close, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN15 1NG without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 26 service users at Ashgables House.

The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Ashgables House.
