When people accessed the community staff considered what support they might require to ensure they were able to have a good experience and overcome any potential barriers.
People were supported to regularly go out including taking part in local community events. People’s relatives confirmed their loved ones were supported to participate in activities of interest to them. One told us, [Name] is supported to follow their interests which include going for walks and then gong to the local pub for lunch. There are lots of places they enjoy going to, and the staff support them to do this.” Another person’s relative said, “[Name] accesses the community on a regular basis with staff. They go on day trips and holidays and do some voluntary work locally.”
