Updated 18 February 2025
Date of inspection: 27 February 2025 to 4 March 2025. We visited the home on both dates .
At the time of the inspection there were 7 people living at the home. The service specialised in the care of people with a learning disability and autistic people.
We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.
There were enough staff with the right skills and experience to make sure people received safe and effective care. People’s health and wellbeing outcomes were excellent because of the support they received from staff working in partnership with other professionals.
Assessments and care plans were person centred and regularly reviewed to take account of changes in needs and preferences. People only received care and support with their consent or in their best interests.
People were treated with kindness and compassion. Staff protected their privacy and dignity. Everyone was treated as an individual and staff respected each person’s individual choices. People had opportunities to take part in activities of their choosing and staff supported people to maintain and develop their independence.
The registered manager was open and approachable. They led by example to make sure care and support provided was inclusive and empowering. Staff felt supported and all said they would be able to speak up about any concerns.
There were quality monitoring processes in place which led to ongoing improvements.
