Kindness, compassion and dignity
Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity and showed compassion. We were told “The dentist and hygienist are very professional and make every visit a good experience”. Patients said staff were professional, courteous and considerate. Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected. We were provided with a patient survey; 10 patients responded to the last patient survey, 10 patients said they were satisfied with the treatment provided, 9 said it was easy to make an appointment with 1 person saying it was fairly easy, 9 patients said that they were treated professionally and with respect and 10 patients were confident in the oral health advice given by the dentist. Separate surveys were also conducted by the foundation dentist working at the practice, positive results were seen. Patients were also able to complete the NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT). The results of the September 2024 FFT survey showed that 9 patients responded and all were extremely likely to recommend the practice; comments included “lovely staff would recommend”, “always super treatment” and “all excellent here great staff”.
Staff were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights. Staff were aware of the importance of privacy and confidentiality. Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles. Leaders described how they supported the wellbeing of staff.
