Regulations met

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. On the day of assessment, we received feedback from 6 patients and spoke with a further 3 patients. All feedback was wholly positive, and patients told us that everyone was friendly and helpful. Patients told us they had been with the practice for many years, 2 for over 40 years, and that their general overall experience was good. Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate. Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

Staff were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights. Staff were aware of the importance of privacy and confidentiality. Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles. Leaders described how they supported the wellbeing of staff.

Information from partner organisations was generally positive.

The practice had information governance arrangements and staff were aware of the importance of protecting patients’ personal information. Staff password protected patients’ electronic care records, and paper records were stored securely and complied with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). We saw the general environment helped to protect patients’ privacy and dignity. Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion.
