Our view of the service
We had previously undertaken a comprehensive inspection of Olive Dental Practice on 30 July 2024 under Section 60 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 as part of our regulatory functions. We found the registered provider was not providing well-led care and was in breach of regulation 17 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014. We undertook a follow up assessment on 6 December 2024. This assessment was carried out to review the actions taken by the registered provider to improve the quality of care and to confirm that the practice was now meeting legal requirements. We found the practice had met regulations. The practice had systems to manage risks. Infection control procedures followed published guidance. Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance. Patients were treated with dignity and respect. At the time of our assessment, we found that patients could access care, support and treatment when required. Olive Dental Practice is in Saxmundham, Suffolk and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children. There was a small step to access the practice. Car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, were available in pay and display car parks near the practice. The practice had 3 treatment rooms. During the assessment we spoke with 1 dentist, and 4 dental nurses including 2 trainee dental nurses.
