The provider had appropriate systems in place to monitor the quality of the service, ensuring people were safe. People told us they were happy with the management team, and they were able to speak the registered manager when required.

Governance, management and sustainability
Staff told us the registered manager was approachable and listened to them. They told us there was an out of hours on call system in place in case they needed management support. One staff member commented, “I like working at this service. The registered manager and office staff are always happy to listen to staff. I am very happy to work with them.”
The registered manager showed us a recent contract monitoring report from the local authority that commissions services from the provider. The report included areas for improvement for example, improving recruitment procedures and putting in place a safeguarding folder for staff. The registered manager showed us an action plan that had been developed to address these areas. We saw that recruitment records were robust and there was a safeguarding folder in place.
