Our view of the service
Date of assessment 18 June to 26 June 2024. Luv to Care Ltd care is a domiciliary care agency supporting people living in their own homes in the Guilford, Surrey area. At the time of the assessment 15 people were being supported by the service. The assessment was conducted because we received concerns relating to inappropriate treatment of staff and alleged closed cultures. We found no evidence to support these allegations. We looked at the quality statements relating to safe systems, pathways and transitions, safeguarding, medicines, shared direction and culture, capable compassionate and inclusive leaders, freedom to speak up and governance management and sustainability. Staff knew how to identify and report any concerns. Medicines were managed safely, and people received their medicines as prescribed. The registered manager was approachable and visited people periodically in their own homes. Staff were aware of their roles and responsibilities and the provider supported them to maintain their professional development. The service was well managed with a management team who worked well together. There was a clear management structure which aided the smooth running of the service. People and relatives told us the service was well-led and they knew the management team. Staff worked well together and felt supported by the management team. The provider had effective quality assurance systems which were used to improve care.
