Updated 24 September 2024
Date of the assessment: 9 October to 29 October 2024. We completed this assessment in response to concerns about risk management within the service. However, we found the service continued to provide good quality care and was well led. Potential risks to people’s health and wellbeing had been assessed and there was guidance for staff to mitigate risks. Lessons were learnt when things went wrong, and changes were made to people’s support to keep them safe. There were enough staff to meet people’s needs. Medicines were managed safely, and people received their medicines as prescribed. The building and environment were maintained to a high standard. Staff understood their responsibility to report and protect people from abuse and discrimination. Staff followed infection control guidelines, and the service was clean and odour free. The provider had effective systems in place to monitor the service and make improvements as needed. Staff felt supported by the management team and understood their roles and responsibilities to promote the provider’s vision for the service.
