Responsive
People were at the centre of their care and the provider responded to any relevant changes in their needs. The provider understands the diverse health and care needs of people and of the local communities. People’s care was joined-up, flexible and supported choice and continuity. People were able to share feedback and ideas or raise complaints about their care, treatment and support.

Person-centred Care
People were supported by staff who knew them well and understood their needs. Staff were kind and considerate in their interactions with people.
Staff told us that the morale in the team was good, and they felt valued and well supported. This positive culture impacted positively on the care people received. One staff member said, "The best thing here is the amount of support and love from the staff to the residents. People have been so welcoming."
We observed staff providing care for people in a person-centred way, using different approaches for different people to support them to make choices about the support they needed.

Equity in experiences and outcomes
People told us the provider supported them to access external health services. A relative said the service had supported their relative to access health services such as the chiropodist.
Staff supported people to access relevant services to ensure people had equity in outcomes and experiences. Examples included supporting people to attend health services relevant to them with appropriate levels of support. Staff supported people to communicate effectively where needed.
The registered manager had identified that further training was needed around palliative care, clinical observations training and the management of falls. They had arranged further training for all staff.
