Our view of the service
Date of assessment 5 to 13 June 2024. The assessment was in response to CQC receiving information of concern. We found people received support to keep them safe from avoidable harm. Risks were assessed and proactively managed to reduce the risks to people’s safety and wellbeing. Where people moved between services, for example, in or out of the home, their needs were assessed and recorded in care plans which staff used to provide personalised care and support. Some improvements were required to end of life care planning, and the management team had already begun to work on ensuring people’s experiences were more reflective of their or their family’s needs and wishes. There were systems in place to monitor the quality of care people received and the registered manager was open about where things had gone wrong or could be improved. There was a well-established governance system which provided both clinical and operational oversight to ensure people’s safety as well as drive improvements which impacted people’s experience of care.
People's experience of this service
People and relatives shared positive feedback about the care they, or their family member’s received. Relatives were complimentary about the support their family members received when moving into the home and felt people’s risks were safely managed. People expressed confidence in the staff team and felt listened to when they shared concerns or feedback.
