Caring
People received care from staff who knew them well and protected their dignity and promoted peoples independence. People and their loved ones said staff knew them well and enabled them to make their own choices and retain their independence where they could. Staff said they respected people as individuals and assisted them to stay in control of their care. Staff said the management team were supportive and were available at all time to offer advice and assistance when required.

Independence, choice and control
People and their loved ones told us staff supported people to be as independent as they could and to make day to day choices. One person told us, "There are three carers who have taken the time to get to know me well and they know when I can do things myself and when I need support."
Staff told us they would spend time with people and get to know about their lives and what was important to them. Staff told us they would ensure people were encouraged to make their own choices and have control of their lives and they described how they encouraged people to remain as independent as they were able.
Systems and process in place ensured people’s care plans were person centred and contained information important to them. People were able to give continual feedback to the service. People received care and support that was personalised and responsive to their individual needs and their care plans were kept under review to ensure staff continued to meet their changing needs.
