Our view of the service
Shila House is a care home, without nursing, registered to provide accommodation and personal care. The service provides care and support to people living with long term mental health conditions. The assessment commenced on 18 January 2024 and was completed on 5 February 2024. The assessment included a visit to the service by an inspector and an assessor on 18 January 2024. We looked at 6 quality statements; Safeguarding; Involving people to manage risks; Safe and effective staffing; Medicines optimisation; Independence choice and control and Equity in experiences and outcomes. Following the assessment, the service has received an overall rating of good.
People's experience of this service
People told us they felt safe living at Shila House and were well supported by staff who understood their needs. Risk assessments and care plans clearly reflected people's needs and people were fully involved in planning and reviewing their care.
