People received exceptional care and were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice.

People and their relatives were aware of care plans and they were consulted about any changes.

Staff spoke positively about people and gave examples of person centred care. For example, people were consulted about how they wanted to spend their time. For example, crafts, reading, visiting the local community and seeing family.

Care plans were regularly reviewed and updated as people's needs changed. The service was in the process of implementing a new electronic care plan system to streamline their processes.
