Capable, compassionate and inclusive leaders
Staff felt supported and valued by the management team and that they were visible in the service. One staff member said, “I love working here, the support we have is really good”. The provider had oversight of the service, and accessed records including reports, audits and incidents remotely as well as regular visits from the regional manager.

The provider told us of the systems they had in place to monitor the quality and safety of the service. These included audits, checks, policies and procedures. Where improvements or risks had been identified, these were communicated to relevant staff.
There were systems in place to check the quality and safety of the service. However, some of the issues we found had not been identified by the providers audits and checks. The provider responded to our feedback and immediately addressed the concerns we found, they also shared these with their other services. The provider gathered feedback from people and staff to identify areas for improvement. Regular staff meetings were held, including daily meetings with heads of departments and handovers at the beginning of each shift to ensure important information about people was shared and acted upon. One staff member had the role of ‘staff council’, their role was to raise any issues in meetings on behalf of staff and provide feedback to staff on any developments within the company. The registered manager submitted statutory notifications to the Care Quality Commission as required.
