Well-led
Multi-layered leadership at Avon View meant there was oversight. The management of the home was newly established and the whole home was working towards stability.

Governance, management and sustainability
Management at Avon View had gone through a period of change since the last inspection. The manager was in the process of applying to be registered manager with CQC. They told us they had a clear vision for improvements and were working out the best ways to make changes. It was important to them to involve the staff team and said they had many plans to further develop the home and offer stability. The manager told us, “There is always room for improvement. Safety is priority in my view.” Staff and people were positive about the new management changes within the home. A member of staff said, “I’m positive more improvements will be made. It will be good.”
Governance systems were established and operating effectively. A range of audits and checks were in place to monitor the home and ensure it was safe and make improvements. This supported Avon View to have a sustainable management in place. The manager said, “To address issues effectively, you need structure.” Staff had clear roles and responsibilities.
